Running the Flash 400 competitions has been hugely rewarding and we’ve published some truly brilliant Flash Fiction along the way.

We’ll still be running one competition a year, but this will be integrated into the Cambridge Prize, with a top award of £1000.

With the appointment of Elisabeth Ingram Wallace as Senior Editor for Flash Fiction, we’re also now accepting general submissions. We’re paying £15 per accepted piece, or a set of the first six chapbooks.

We’d like to thank all the writers, readers, and judges who have helped run the TSS Flash 400 competitions over the last few years.

Below, you’ll find a selection of our favourite ten pieces.
