TSS Publishing is delighted to announce that Katy Darby is joining the team as the Short Story Senior Editor and Elisabeth Ingram Wallace is joining as the Flash Fiction Senior Editor.

Both writers will be responsible for the general submission periods for the two forms, as well as guiding the direction of the organisation in terms of short fiction publication and development.

Details on our periods of general submission will be released next week.

Katy Darby studied English Literature at Somerville College, Oxford and took her MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, where she received the David Higham Award. Her fiction has been read on BBC Radio, and she has published stories in magazines including Slice, Mslexia and The London Magazine, as well as winning prizes in several international fiction competitions (Fish, Arvon and Bridport, among others). Her first novel, The Whores’ Asylum, was published by Fig Tree (Penguin) in February 2012. She teaches Short Story Writing and Novel Writing at City University and co-runs the monthly live fiction event Liars’ League. She lives in London.


Elisabeth Ingram Wallace lives in Scotland, and her writing is published in SmokeLong Quarterly, Atticus Review, Flash Frontier, and the Bath Flash Fiction Award anthologies. A finalist for The Best Small Fictions 2018, she has a Scottish Book Trust ‘New Writers Award’, a Dewar Arts Award, and won ‘Writing the Future 2017’. She studied English as a mature student at Oxford University, and has a Creative Writing M.Litt. with Distinction from the University of Glasgow.
